FAQs

  • When we say our trips are self-guided, but fully supported what we mean is that you will be riding every day on your own or in groups, but without a ‘guide’. The routes will be provided electronically and riders will also be provided with emergency queue sheets but we do expect that riders will be capable of navigation and comfortable using those tools to navigate the course daily.

  • This is an adventure ride and you will be in fairly remote areas of Oregon. You will need to be comfortable navigating on unfamiliar terrain with a bike computer, your phone, or other means. You will also need to be comfortable riding on a variety of gravel surfaces.

  • You will need to be able to ride for 3-4 hours for five days in a row. Spend some time doing long rides on back to back days to prepare physically. Make sure you are comfortable with navigating and riding new routes.

  • You will be provided with a 27 gallon storage bin at the welcome dinner. All of your personal gear must fit in your bin. This will generally easily accommodate a tent, sleeping pad, sleeping bag, camp pillow, extra kit, camp clothes (shorts, pants, t-shirts, sweatshirt, puffy, socks, camp shoes), toiletries, books or games. We will send out a more detailed packing list with riders leading up to the trip.

Note also that if you choose to rent a tent and sleeping pad from us these will not count towards your storage space.

  • Yes! You will receive an intake form upon sign-up that will ask specific questions related to diet and we can generally accommodate any dietary restriction.

  • We do not provide alcohol as part of the trip package, but we will reserve some food storage/cooler space for alcohol if you’d like to bring some along.
